Seeking Dynamic Individuals to join our board of directors.

Part-time, 3 days a week, 21 hours a week, $25/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual fund development work plan and revenue goals to be approved by the Executive Director.

  • Enhance ESCF’s planned giving strategy to include the engagement of Professional Advisors, Lawyers, and Funeral Homes.

  • Create and execute the Foundation’s Corporate Partnership strategy.

  • Research and share granting opportunities with other charitable organizations. Write grants in support of operations and other areas when opportunities arise.

  • Coordinate, maintain and collaborate with the Executive Director and appropriate committees.

  • Identify and cultivate prospects for major gifts, outside and third-party fundraisers. Assist in raising asset base.

  • Implement a system of donor recognition, including acknowledgement on the website, newsletters, and in-person.

  • Plan and execute all aspects (including logistics, sponsors, volunteers, etc.) of the 100 People who Care fundraising event.

  • Maintain positive relations and communications with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.

  • Assist in marketing and efforts to increase ESCF’s profile through use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Qualifications and skills:

  • College diploma in business marketing, corporate communications and public relations, fund development or non-for-profit management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate the mission and initiatives of ESCF to donors and other external stakeholders and willingness to ask supporters for donations.

  • Proficiency in data entry and data transfer

  • Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and Internet applications

  • Proficiency in tracking donor trends and relating them to organizational markers.

  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational, planning and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and without close supervision.

  • Commitment to confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information of members or donors.
